What are NovaThreads?

NovaThreads are absorbable threads that are composed of polydioxanone or PDO-absorbable sutures. These synthetic sutures feature many shapes that encourage tissue lifting and collagen stimulation. The procedure is non-surgical and minimally invasive, eliminating the need for incisions and the risk of scarring. Novathreads are incredibly safe, and the body naturally absorbs the suture within 4-6 months. However, the benefits of PDO threads have been known to last roughly 9-12 months.

During treatment, you may experience some minor discomfort. We typically put a topical numbing agent on the skin before treatment to minimize discomfort.

The procedure typically takes about 30-60 minutes and doesn't require significant downtime for recovery. Some patients can experience minor bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site but can usually be camouflaged with makeup.
