Mole Removal

Remove unwanted moles and other lumps and bumps of the skin.

Safe and Effective

Many people refer to a mole as any dark spot or irregularity in the skin. Some people are born with moles, other moles appear over time. Sun exposure also plays a role in the development of moles and may even play a role in the development of atypical, or dysplastic moles.

Although laser removal has been tried for moles, it is not the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn’t penetrate deeply enough.

In general, moles are removed by excising the moles and then stitching the wound. A few surface stitches may be used, or if the mole is larger, deep stitches may be required. The lesions are usually sent in to check that they are benign (non-cancerous).
