Jessners Peel contains an acne fighting property known as Salicylic Acid (a beta hydroxy acid) that removes oil and debris attached to the skin’s surface. It penetrates the sebum filled follicles and cleans out the clogged pores. This peel is beneficial for mild acne. 60 Minutes
Levulonic Acid works by treating the bacteria that causes acne as well as overactive sebaceous glands. More than one treatment may be needed depending on severity of acne. This peel is beneficial for moderate to severe acne. 45 Minutes

What are the treatments like?
The treatment is like skin polishing using baking soda crystals or a diamond tip hand piece. In as little as thirty minutes, this exfoliation efficiently produces satisfying results on all skin colors and types. Microdermabrasion is an excellent alternative to chemical peels.
Who is a good candidate?
Microdermabrasion is generally indicated for dull, oily or leathery skin texture, enlarged pores, clogged pores, polishing and reducing fine lines, mild acne scarring and mild pigment irregularities.

At Ave Medical Laser Spa, we use Hairaway waxing products. A soft green pine resin wax desensitizes the follicle making it less painful while soothing the skin. Blue hardwax is used in sensitive areas such as underarms, bikini line, upper lip, eyebrows, and for Brazilian waxing.
