Jowl Tightening
Loose turkey skin jowls are a difficult problem to treat!  If very severe,  only a surgical necklift will be successful.  For mild to moderate sag, Accent XL®  can tighten this skin sufficiently.  We have had some patients where one treatment has led to great improvement but most people will need a series of 4-6 treatments for full benefit.
Face Tightening
Accent XL® is approved by the FDA for wrinkle reduction of the face.  A series of 4-6 treatments is recommended for best results and the results can be enhanced when combined with a facial resurfacing laser.
What can I expect?
Each treatment with the Accent XL® will last about 30-45 minutes and is likened to a hot stone massage.  Most people enjoy the experience.  There is no downtime and only a mild redness that lasts about 20 minutes after the treatment.  Most patients will need a series of 4-6 treatments spaced about 2-3 weeks apart.  Full benefits will not be seen until a few months after the last treatment as the collagen continues to form.

What is an Accent XL® treatment like and when will I see results?
During the treatment, your skin will be massaged and heated.  Many find the treatment relaxing, like a hot stone massage.  The treatment may take up to an hour or longer depending on the area to be treated.  Some tightening and smoothing may be visible immediately following the treatment!  While one or two treatments can produce good results, 4-6 treatments at 2 week intervals may be necessary for best results.  The skin will continue to gradually tighten for up to 4 months after your last treatment as new collagen forms!
