We are committed, not only to providing our clients with the best and latest innovations and technologies that skincare has to offer, but becoming experts in it - this means our education never stops.
Dr. Paula Hicks, Medical Director, has devoted a majority of her continued medical education to cutting-edge technology, gladly taking any opportunity to expand her knowledge and expertise, while providing her medical staff opportunities to do the same. Dr. Hicks’ most recent medical retreat, accompanied by Deb Hoesing, R.N., a unique opportunity, an advanced facial anatomy course at a Cadaveric Bioskills Laboratory in Baltimore, Maryland, VISTA Lab.
VISTA provides the most comprehensive training by offering the latest medical devices and techniques to medical professionals. During their independent lab, they gained new insights and perfected techniques, while delving into the latest developments in modern science.
Additionally, Lindsey Roder, Clinical Assistant, has just returned from CoolSculpting University, a comprehensive 3-day training program. CoolSculpting, a revolution in body contouring, is a non-invasive technology that uses a patented cooling process to target and eliminate fat cells, without surgery or downtime. With more than 6 million CoolSculpting treatments worldwide, it offers undeniable results with high patient satisfaction.
We offer all of the nine different CoolSculpting applicators that target different areas of the body, including abdomen, thighs, upper arms, love handles, and chin. Lindsey was able to gain expertise on all applicators, markings and measurements through her hands-on training, as well as, the science behind Cryolipolysis (“cryo” -intense cold, “lipolysis” -fat cell death). Lindsey brings all of this information back with her, so that all of our staff can become experts in CoolSculpting and provide our clients with the best treatments and plans available.
We are very excited to have everyone back and to incorporate their findings into our work here at Avé!
